Logistics Coordinator Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Michael Page. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods to customers. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role, working 1-2 days in the office per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods
* Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures and reduce costs
* Coordinate delivery schedules to maximize productivity and minimize delays
* Monitor and report on transportation costs to ensure compliance with company policies
* Ensure shipping documents are accurate and up-to-date
* Resolve issues regarding shipped orders in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
* Proven experience in logistics coordination within a busy distribution operation
* Excellent knowledge of logistics software and other IT packages, including Excel
* Strong coordination and project management skills
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
