Avocet Commercial Careers is seeking an experienced Legal Support Assistant to join a dynamic and rapidly growing team in a key support role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build on their previous administrative or secretarial experience and will offer lots of opportunities for development as the team continues to grow in this specialist area of law in Islamic Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the team's diaries, ensuring seamless travel, meetings, and event planning.
  • Provide exceptional support to Lawyers, handling calls, and ensuring timely responses to clients.
  • Assist with billing procedures, cash collection, expenses, and credit control, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
  • File management, including opening and maintenance, terms of business letters, instruction letters, and ID checks, to ensure adherence to the firm's practices and procedures.
  • Support business development initiatives, including client research, marketing lists, external invitations, preparing resources, and tracking business development activity.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to support Lawyers and the team proactively, understanding their needs and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
  • Strong organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
