This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and expanding organization. Candidates should ideally have a solid background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of heavy vehicles. The position offers a standard workweek of 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, accompanied by a competitive remuneration package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
- Perform thorough inspections to identify potential problems or safety hazards.
- Repair or replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and specifications during maintenance and repair tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work completed.
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure optimal performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician or in a comparable position.
- Strong mechanical acumen and understanding of heavy vehicle systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Proficient in utilizing hand tools, power tools, and equipment for maintenance and repairs.
- Welding skills are advantageous.
- Forklift operation experience is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation.
