Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as a First Contact Practitioner within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) service, collaborating with other healthcare professionals such as Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs), General Practitioners (GPs), podiatrists, and physiotherapists
  • Conduct specialized and thorough neuro-musculoskeletal assessments for both routine and complex patients in a clinical setting
  • Formulate precise diagnoses, management strategies, and prognoses utilizing advanced clinical reasoning and knowledge of current best practices
  • Independently refer patients to the iMSK service for diagnostic evaluations, including MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with patients and medical colleagues regarding assessments, management, and treatment options
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and training within the MSK team
  • Uphold high standards of physiotherapy practice in accordance with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Codes of Practice

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years focused on MSK
  • Chartered Physiotherapist, member of the CSP
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Familiarity with CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing changes
  • Independent advanced decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, including risk management
  • Degree-level education or equivalent qualifications
  • Qualification in injection therapy (or willingness to pursue this skill)
  • Flexibility to travel as required
