Our Digital & Analytics Practice
Data & Analytics is a specialist business unit within Oliver Wyman, established in 2017 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and expanded across Europe. The practice is a dynamic, fast-growing team of quantitative analytics specialists, working closely with colleagues across Oliver Wyman to cover a global footprint.
Clients hire us for our depth of insight and expertise, combining analytical rigour with a relentless focus on client impact. The Newcastle team has grown to over 50 people, with a mixture of quantitative expertise ranging from Analysts to Directors.
Entry Level Analyst Opportunity
This position offers excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals. Initial responsibilities will include:
- Managing the execution of individual project workstreams, developing hypotheses, managing and organizing data collection, model creation and analysis, conducting primary and secondary research, and surfacing insights.
- Gathering and analyzing data to understand trends and presenting this in visual ways to the client.
- Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality execution.
- The opportunity to obtain the training and guidance of a blue-chip consulting firm, while being part of an ambitious start-up.
- Our Team will be offered in-depth training, above and beyond what is typical for an Oliver Wyman consultant.
What We Look For In Applicants
Our entry-level role is open to candidates in their final year of study and beyond, looking to start a full-time role in 2024. We are looking for individuals with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, ideally Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering with strong quantitative applications.
We are excited to work with candidates who are eager to work in an entrepreneurial environment, focused on delivering impact. Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and manage a heavy work volume while meeting deadlines in an extremely fast-paced environment.
