About the Role:
Calibre Careers is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Design / Applications Engineer to join our team in the East Anglia area. As a key member of our refrigeration team, you will assist the Refrigeration Technical Manager with various roles within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop refrigeration M&E schedules and designs that meet our high standards.
- Produce detailed quotations and cost bases using software and training provided.
- Create and review specifications of refrigeration systems and components to ensure feasibility and compliance.
- Design refrigeration systems that incorporate BREEAM standards and meet regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure refrigeration specifications are feasible and meet our quality standards.
- Provide documentation related to product design to meet regulatory requirements, including BSEN 378.
- Utilize software to compile heat/load calculations and ensure accurate results.
- Develop and review environmental and compliance submissions to ensure our refrigeration systems meet the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with our team and clients.
- Good computer literacy and proficiency in software used for refrigeration design and calculations.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards in all aspects of the role.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic CAD experience is an asset, but not essential.
- C&G 2079, 7671 18th Edition, and Electrical qualification or knowledge are not essential but desirable.
- Building services degree is not essential but preferred.
