We are currently seeking an experienced workshop fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting servicing and repairs on our heavy plant vehicles, ensuring maximum machine reliability and a high standard of plant maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of machines to identify potential issues and report any damage or defects.
- Diagnose and repair faulty machinery, ensuring all tasks are completed to the required health and safety standards.
- Provide consultation on correct operation and daily maintenance measures to machine operators.
- Liaise with management to ensure stock is replenished adequately.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including job sheets and labour allocation reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working on heavy plant vehicles is essential.
- Vast knowledge of plant machinery, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Competent in the service and repair of plant and vehicles.
- A recognised trade qualification is beneficial - Level 2/3 in plant maintenance or similar.
- A valid clean driving license.
