About the Role

Russell Tobin is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Arboricultural Surveyor to join their successful team. This individual will play a crucial role in assessing, managing, and conserving trees within various landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Tree Surveys: Conduct detailed surveys to assess the health, condition, and structural integrity of trees.
  • Identify Risks and Hazards: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with trees and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Prepare Detailed Reports: Prepare detailed reports outlining survey findings, recommendations, and management plans.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective tree management strategies.
  • Stay Informed: Stay informed about industry standards, best practices, and relevant legislation.
  • Utilize Specialized Software: Utilize specialized software and tools for data collection, analysis, and mapping.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in conducting Arboricultural surveys and assessments.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of tree biology, identification, and health assessment techniques.
  • Legislation: Familiarity with relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry standards (e.g., BS5837, BS3998).
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Technology: Proficiency in using GIS software and other relevant technology.
  • Travel: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Accreditation: Professional accreditation such as AA, ISA Certified Arborist or Technician.
  • Urban Forestry Experience: Experience in urban forestry management and planning.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience working with local authorities, developers, or environmental agencies.
