Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Esland Grantham School. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and delivery of educational programs for students with SEND
  • Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students
  • Contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and mental well-being
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • GCSE Level qualifications in English, Math, and Science
  • Experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a residential setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full manual driving license (desirable)
