We are seeking a skilled Capital Maintenance Manager to oversee a dedicated team focused on executing a range of small-scale engineering projects within our northern division. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of six engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support throughout all project phases.
- Manage the program of projects, ensuring effective planning and execution.
- Oversee financial aspects, including forecasting, contract management, and payment processes.
- Collaborate closely with contractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in budget establishment and approval processes.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A background in contracting or utilities, with proven experience in project and personnel management.
- Strong health and safety management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities across all organizational levels.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Commercial awareness and expertise in NEC contracts.
- Relevant technical knowledge and project delivery experience.
- Effective people management skills.
Additionally, you should have:
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and a customer-centric approach.
- A minimum of a level 4 (HNC) qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Professional registration as an engineer (IEng/CEng).
- A valid driving license, with a company vehicle provided if necessary.
