Position: CNC Machining Specialist - Miller/Turner

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Oldham

Overtime: Available at x1.5, x2 on Sundays

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rotating shifts:

  • 6am - 2pm Monday – Friday
  • 2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday
  • 10pm - 6am Monday - Friday

Compensation: Starting from £17.16 per hour + 35% Shift Allowance

Incentives: Additional £1.50 per hour for operating dual machines

Company Overview: Our client is a leading provider of intricate assemblies and customized, batch-manufactured components serving diverse sectors such as oil & gas, nuclear, aerospace, defense, and rail.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled engineer proficient in programming, setting, and operating both 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and operating various machines including Soraluce floor borers, Doosan Horizontal borers, Elgamill, Mazak, and Hartford VMC.
  • Conducting dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Working 37.5 hours per week.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in 3 & 5 axis programming.
  • Proficient in Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Commitment to quality and precision.
  • Experience with tight tolerances and deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including potential overtime.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
