About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Emerging Market Debt Trader to join our team in London. As a key member of our Trading Department, you will be responsible for executing orders from Portfolio Managers and Analysts across our EMEA book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executing EMD transactions using a combination of high-touch and low-touch execution methods
  • Executing orders in accordance with our best execution and risk management practices
  • Gathering and analyzing market, sector, and security information to identify investment opportunities
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of our Portfolio Managers' investment philosophies and strategies
  • Soliciting trade interest from Portfolio Managers and locating external supply or internal demand for liquidity opportunities
  • Remaining informed of new product developments and fostering new trading relationships
  • Monitoring and improving efficiency while mitigating risk
Qualifications
  • Strong academic credentials, including an undergraduate degree and a Master's degree or CFA certification
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant trading experience, with a strong understanding of a wide array of instruments
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply them in a practical fashion
  • Impeccable integrity and a fiduciary mindset, with a focus on placing clients' interests first
