Craven College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Management Accountant. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining effective accounting and financial control arrangements across the College.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial control measures, reporting, and business processes to ensure the College's financial health and stability.
  • Provide high-quality support to all departments across the College, ensuring accurate and timely provision of management information.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to prepare capital and revenue funding bids, and support the implementation of financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with the College's range of safeguarding policies and procedures, and maintain a high level of computer literacy, including Excel to an advanced level.
  • Identify and communicate the financial implications of decisions or planned actions, and provide business partnering from finance with all managers across the College.
Requirements:
  • Recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
  • Practical experience of financial operations, management, and control, including working capital management, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision, and a high level of computer literacy.
