About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Outreach Worker/Mentor to join our Personalised Education Team in Crewe. As an Outreach Worker, you will be working with students who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, providing support and guidance to help them engage with school and overcome attendance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and mentor students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
- Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to develop their skills and confidence
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored education plans for students
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's education
- Provide guidance and support to students to help them overcome attendance issues and engage with school
Requirements:
- Experience of working with KS3 and/or KS4 pupils and their families
- Ability to relate to young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
