Academic Mentor Opportunity

Support Students in Science

EdEx is seeking a Graduate with a passion for science to join their team as an Academic Mentor at an Outstanding Barnet secondary school. As an Academic Mentor, you will support students within the Science department with their academics and well-being.

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students to find a love for science and make a difference in their lives. If you're a confident and enthusiastic Graduate looking for a career where you can excel, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Run small, targeted interventions in groups and 1:1 for students who are struggling academically.
  2. Run booster sessions for students inside and outside of the classroom across science-related subjects.
  3. Support class teachers across different subjects and support students' development academically.

Person Specification:
  1. Must have a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University.
  2. Aspiring Primary or Secondary Teacher.
  3. Must be willing to go above and beyond daily for the pupils.
  4. Confidence is key throughout these roles/School.
  5. Must be a team player.
