About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our UK Wastewater Services team at Hydro International Limited. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop, carrying out repairs and refurbishments, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out workshop repairs and refurbishments, ensuring work is completed to the agreed quote in terms of monetary value and time.
  • Responsible for the compliance and examination of lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring staff use all safe procedures and equipment as prescribed in appropriate risk assessments.
  • Be prepared to work away if required or attend callouts.
  • Mentor new engineers within the workshop environment and oversee their work.
  • Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in the water industry. You should have a valid driving license, a CSCS card, and previous engineering or electrical qualifications, including welding. Forklift experience and a license are also essential. Knowledge of water industry and inlet/water equipment is desirable.
