About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at OCS, a leading facilities management company. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in the management of complex projects, working closely with clients to define and deliver their requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop project briefs
  • Lead the selection and appointment of design teams and consultants
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess building conditions and identify defects
  • Prepare reports and proposals for repair and maintenance work
  • Work closely with the commercial team to organize tender documents and advise on procurement routes
  • Manage client relationships and communicate project progress and outcomes
Requirements
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of building surveying principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in standard software packages, including CAD and project management tools
