Clue Computing Co. is a pioneering software scale-up focused on 'Tech for Good', supported by significant growth investments from Frog Capital.

Our leading intelligence and investigation management software is utilized by over 4000 investigation professionals globally, including those in law enforcement, government, non-profit, corporate, and sports sectors.

Clue serves as a comprehensive platform for managing intelligence and investigations, empowering clients to identify threats early, advance swiftly, and act decisively to achieve effective outcomes in cases involving organized crime, corruption, human trafficking, safeguarding issues, animal cruelty, fraud, and more.

As the recipient of a Southwest UK 'Tech for Good' award in 2022, our team is dedicated to assisting our clients in detecting and preventing misconduct to foster positive change in society.

About You
We are in search of a seasoned Head of Technology to oversee our technology division, ensuring the successful development and delivery of Clue as a premier product. Collaborating closely with the Chief Product and Marketing Officer and the Product Director, you will ensure that all product aspects contribute to our clients' success. As a member of our Executive team, you will connect technology with business, introduce innovative solutions to challenges, develop robust security measures, and drive results to support Clue's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver a premier Intelligence and Investigation Software as a Service:

  • Execute the product in alignment with the product roadmap
  • Ensure technical excellence throughout the development and release lifecycle to maintain high quality
  • Guarantee speed and consistency in development, particularly during sprints
  • Possess a deep technical understanding of the product's complexities, including non-functional aspects such as hosting, security, and the tools utilized
  • Own the technical vision and strategy, including the evolution of our architecture as we scale to meet growing demand
  • Collaborate with product leadership and advocate for cooperation between product and technology at all levels

Lead a high-performing team:

  • Inspire and guide a strong, effective team
  • Provide mentorship and direction to the technology leadership team to foster excellence and accountability
  • Promote a culture of high performance, engagement, and productivity within the technology team
  • Establish performance metrics to assess delivery effectiveness and value creation
  • Ensure the team is well-integrated within Clue and supports the success of other teams

Contribute as an effective member of the executive team:

  • Facilitate the success of customer, sales, and other functions
  • Actively engage in strategic planning and management
  • Play a crucial role in the journey towards market leadership
  • Collaborate on problem-solving and continuous improvement across all business areas

Job Purpose

  • Lead the technology team to build and deliver a premier product that enables our and our clients' success.
  • As a member of the Executive team, drive towards Clue's vision and achieve the company's business objectives.
  • Identify and manage technology risks and security for Clue.

Experience and Skills

Our ideal candidate would possess experience in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Head of Technology in a B2B SaaS technology organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding results in a rapidly scaling SaaS environment.
  • Ability to engage with various stakeholders and cultivate valued, collaborative relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial aspects, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Strategic mindset, capable of envisioning future possibilities and navigating a clear path to objectives while being action-oriented with a focus on value creation.
  • Strong understanding of implementing and managing security, compliance, and data governance for enterprises.
  • Experience in developing robust, scalable, cloud-first products for global enterprise clients.
  • Experience collaborating with investors
