About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Fullstack Developer to join our Equity Finance IT team in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving software solutions that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience with Java, Angular, and RDMS.
  • Previous experience in Banking industry and knowledge or exposure to Capital Markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make evaluative judgements based on factual information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and persuade team members and communicate complex sensitive information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
