Job Description:

Job Summary:

Twinstream Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Java Engineer to join our team. As a Lead Java Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality software using Java and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring that software is developed to the highest standards.
  • Software Development: Develop high-quality software using Java and AWS technologies, including Spring Boot, AWS S3, Fargate, RDBMS, and JPA.
  • Agile Development: Participate in agile development practices, including TDD, BDD, Continuous delivery, DevOps, Pair programming, and Estimating & Planning.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, including 3rd line support.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps specialists, to ensure smooth software deployment and operation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in developing software using Java and AWS technologies.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and agile development practices.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum.
  • Hybrid Working: 3 days per week in Bristol, UK, with flexible remote working options.
  • Benefits: 8% pension plan, £1,000 training budget, 25 days' holiday, and quarterly team meetings.
