Southfield Engineering & Calibration Services Ltd is a family-owned enterprise established in 2002, recognized for its expertise in Electrical Testing and Tool Calibration services across various industries in the U.K.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Inspection and Testing Specialist to enhance our electrical team due to our ongoing expansion.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Must possess qualifications including C&G 18th Edition, C&G 2391/2395 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial electrical testing.
- Familiarity with electrical testing software such as Easycert or Amtech is highly beneficial.
- Additional qualifications or skills such as C&G 2377 (PAT testing) (or equivalent), proficiency in IT (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, and strong communication abilities are preferred.
- A valid driving license is required.
Role Overview:
The position involves traveling to various sites and offices nationwide to conduct EICR Testing on electrical installations within commercial settings while ensuring exceptional customer service standards. Responsibilities will also include performing electrical remedial tasks and supporting our fire alarm engineers as needed.
This role typically requires overnight travel (up to 3 nights per week), though local assignments are also available. Accommodation is arranged and covered by the company. Employees can claim a £25.00 allowance for evening meals and breakfast each night (no receipts required). Additionally, a £15.00 overnight allowance is provided for each night away, increasing to £25.00 for any rare fourth night.
