At GXO, we are actively seeking a
Transport Manager (Nights)
to become a vital part of our team.
Your role will involve overseeing the transport operations of the depot while ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle regulations, thereby meeting the expectations of both our customers and the organization.
This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with a night shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off, from 18:00 to 06:00.Compensation and Benefits:
We aim to provide a competitive salary of up to
£46,280.00 per annum
(including night shift allowance), along with 23 days of annual leave (inclusive of public holidays). Daily Responsibilities:
1. Manage the planning and organization of schedules and operational tasks within the transport function to meet all service level requirements.
2. Recruit, train, and mentor members of the transport team to enhance performance and address underperformance when necessary.
3. Collaborate with all departments and support services to deliver a quality service aligned with company and client standards.
4. Promote safe working practices and maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security within the workplace.
Qualifications for Success at GXO:
- Possession of an International CPC is essential.
- Proven experience in a similar role, managing a large multi-temperature transport operation, preferably in a third-party logistics environment.
- Current knowledge of the Working Time Directive and all relevant transport regulations.
- Experience in continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives is advantageous.
