Weekend Saw Operative

We are delighted to be working with a successful and established distribution company, a leading player in the logistics industry, who are recruiting for a Weekend Saw Operative on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will require experience operating saw machines (Metal Saw or Tyro) and a counterbalance/reach forklift license.
This role will involve working both Saturday and Sunday hours, with a total of 40 hours per week.
The salary on offer for the weekend shift is £27 per hour, which includes an uplift in hourly rate for working a weekend shift.
The Weekend Saw Operative will be responsible for operating saw machines, moving stock throughout the warehouse, and operating forklifts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Operating saw machines to cut metal materials
- Moving stock throughout the warehouse using forklifts
- Ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will be expected to work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth operations.
