PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to enhance our Global Supply Chains division. The role involves collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure effective and economical purchasing practices. Key responsibilities encompass overseeing stock levels, nurturing supplier partnerships, spearheading cost-saving projects, and promoting ongoing enhancements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee stock levels to guarantee material availability while achieving inventory targets.
- Ensure timely placement of purchase orders and maintain precise lead time information.
- Communicate capacity needs with vendors and resolve any challenges.
- Work with suppliers to pinpoint and execute cost-saving measures.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and meetings to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
- Establish streamlined supply chain configurations and assist in change management efforts.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred degree in materials management or business studies.
- CIPS certification or equivalent experience is essential.
- Background in supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
- Proficient in managing supplier relationships.
- Understanding of production processes and pricing methodologies.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and quantitative skills.
- Results-oriented with excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
