Job Title: Audio Visual Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Specialist to join our team at the University of Salford. As an Audio Visual Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing audio-visual services to support teaching and learning across the campus.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual technology, with experience in installation, maintenance, and operation of audio-visual equipment and systems. You will work closely with faculty and support service managers to design, procure, and coordinate the implementation of audio-visual projects, ensuring that they are completed within specified budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with major audio-visual installation and upgrade projects, developing specifications and technical solutions with service users.
  • Design, procure, and coordinate the implementation of projects with external suppliers and other University divisional support service managers.
  • Keep appraised of new developments in audio-visual equipment and systems, providing a knowledge base to guide faculty and support service senior managers in the selection of audio-visual services and the development of teaching methods.
  • Assist with the coordination and provision of solutions for audio-visual events, broadcast media production, video conferencing, and digital signage.
  • Provide professional input to minor University building projects and assist with refurbishment projects in teaching space design and the integration of audio-visual and presentation technology within such spaces.
