Kitchen Porter Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter to join our team at Class 1 Personnel. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sterilize countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks
  • Clean the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
  • Maintain the food storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators
  • Receive deliveries and organize them in the kitchen
  • Remove kitchen waste from waste containers and dispose of them properly
  • Clean and maintain cooking equipment, such as cookers, pots, and food mixers
  • Support the Chef in basic food preparation, including cutting ingredients, peeling, and washing food items
  • Assist Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed
Requirements:
  • MUST HAVE ENHANCED DBS
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Kitchen Managers and customers
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen safety and health regulations
