Senior Process Engineer

Join Brightsmith | B Corp™ in our mission to drive technological change and innovation in the renewable energy sector. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to lead our process design team and drive the development of new plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day support for the Engineering design team activities, with a focus on process design and process engineering.
  • Act as Process Design lead for site projects and small process changes, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for new plant and equipment, improving functionality, safety, and reliability.
  • Evaluate existing process units to support the plant and testing teams in troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking, and improving reliability.
  • Collaborate with external engineering resource providers to support the design, deployment, and commissioning of Balance of Plant systems.
  • Engage in plant safety and company safety programs, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
  • Proven experience in Process Design Engineering roles in industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including hydraulics, heat transfer, mass transfer, separation processes, and control/operation of associated plant.
  • Ability to undertake chemical engineering calculations and produce Process Schematics, PFDs, and Heat and Mass Balances.
  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills to engage with engineering and scientific teams, as well as external stakeholders and suppliers.
