About the Role:
NHS Scotland is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker for Speech and Language Therapy Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting Speech and Language Therapists and Associate Practitioners to meet the needs of children, young people, and adults with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Speech and Language Therapists and Associate Practitioners in delivering services to clients with SLCN.
- Work directly with children, young people, adults, and their families and/or carers to provide coaching and support.
- Co-deliver training and provide coaching and support to families, carers, and other professionals.
- Contribute to the development of capacity for self-management within the community.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children, young people, and/or adults in an educational or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of communication and Speech and Language Therapy Services would be particularly desirable.
- Car drivers are essential.
