Physiotherapist - Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in Solihull, where you will play a key role in developing and delivering a new service focusing on rehabilitation and psychological support to stroke patients.
As a Physiotherapist in this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to shape the vision of this service and contribute to the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the new service.
You will have the opportunity to work in a blended health and social care team, consisting of an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Therapy Support Worker.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist Physiotherapy assessments and interventions to patients with complex needs in the stroke specialty.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the new service, working closely with the project lead and multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise students, therapy support workers, and Band 5 Physiotherapists.
- Participate in staff management and contribute to service improvement projects.
- Develop methods of measuring outcomes to evidence the benefit of your input and contribute to achieving funding for the service on a long-term basis.
Requirements
- Diploma/degree in physiotherapy and registered with the Health Professions Council.
- Experience of working in a physiotherapy on-call service and managing a caseload of patients with complex needs in the stroke specialty.
- Specialist knowledge across a range of physiotherapy practices, routine and non-routine, requiring expertise within the field of physiotherapy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive, and contentious information.
- Ability to prioritize and organize own workload, with a high level of physical skills, including dexterity, coordination, and sensory skills for assessment and manual treatment of patients.
