We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Colchester. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting a varied client portfolio, working closely with the Senior Management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Trades, and Partnerships
  • Reviewing annual accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts prepared by junior staff

  • Supervise junior staff, reviewing work and supporting their professional development

Requirements:
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • Strong working knowledge of software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Good technical tax expertise, including up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation
  • A team player who can also work autonomously
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Reliable, professional and keen to progress within the firm
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A keen eye for detail
