Join Our Team as a Specialized Support Assistant

We are looking for a committed and empathetic Specialized Support Assistant to enhance our educational environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to achieve their utmost potential within a classroom setting. Collaborating closely with educators and specialists, you will help implement personalized learning strategies and provide customized support tailored to the needs of students with ASD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in both classroom and alternative learning environments.
  • Assist in executing behavior intervention strategies for students with Autism.
  • Encourage the development of social skills, communication abilities, and independent living competencies among students.
  • Modify educational materials and activities to cater to the varied requirements of students with ASD.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to educators and parents/guardians.
  • Help supervise students during non-academic activities, including lunch breaks.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a sincere dedication to supporting students with special needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
