Job Summary

We are seeking a highly technical Civil/Structural Engineer to join our office in West London, Brentford.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree and be confident in concept design and pushing boundaries of design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Value Engineering of Structures for Logistics, Data Centres, Industrial Facilities, and Energy projects
  • Knowledge of soil-structure interaction and ability to undertake design for various types of foundations and ground solutions
  • Design of RC Framed Buildings to the Eurocode
  • Repair design of RC Framed Buildings
  • Design of Steel Structures (single storey and multi-storey) to Eurocodes and AISC including application of seismic loads, non-linear behaviour, and local/global failure modes
  • Bespoke foundations solutions including rafts, piled rafts, retaining walls, embedded piles, basements
  • Analysis and design of structural components and systems for various construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
  • Design of roads and strong understanding of the construction regulations, codes, and standards
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, assess structural conditions, and resolve any technical issues that may arise
  • Design and understanding of drainage systems and their construction methods
  • Managing and running structural design projects with autonomy
  • Liaising with contractors, clients, and architects
  • Representing the company at design team and contractor/client meetings and business development/networking events
Requirements
  • Master's degree in structural or civil engineering
  • Good technical writing and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to structural engineering
