About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chartered Surveyor to join our Property Team as a Planned Works Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of planned works projects, ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance and delivery within the approved budget.

You will work closely with the Property Director to plan future programmes and provide regular performance updates. Your excellent written communication and report writing skills will be essential in writing and reviewing specification, tender, and contract documents, value for money statements, and policies/procedures.

Additionally, you will assist with internal and external audits and ensure the implementation of recommendations made.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a Chartered Member of the RICS or equivalent with a HNC, HND, or Degree-level qualification. You will have an understanding of building construction and building pathology, with experience diagnosing defects and specifying remedial works.

You will be an excellent people manager with proven experience managing a remote team. Your good knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, including CDM, Fire, and Building Safety, will be essential.

We are a hybrid-based organization, with this role split between home working and one of our offices in the East of England, 1-2 days per week. Other travel is also required to meet customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
