Position Overview: We are currently seeking a *Deli Assistant* to enhance our team in Belfast. In this role, you will be responsible for serving deli products to customers, assisting them with their selections, and providing expert recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, and other specialty products.
  • Assist customers with their deli orders, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the deli area, including regular cleaning of equipment and display cases.
  • Monitor stock levels and rotate products to ensure freshness.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times.
  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items and organizing stock.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 months experience in deli or fresh food retail.
  • Conversational English proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency in one or more Eastern European languages (e.g., Romanian, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Croatian) is advantageous.
  • Sales experience is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
