About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled External Manufacturing Operations Lead to join our team at UCB S.A. in the UK or Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of UCB's global Contract Manufacturers / strategic vendors.
  • Manage projects such as technology transfers, new product introductions, and process improvements.
  • Provide technical support to the UCB affiliate team who oversee the operational management of local CMOs.
  • Collaborate with the relationship lead / procurement to develop and implement the UCB industrial manufacturing strategy related to local and global CMO.
  • Support the Head of External Manufacturing Operations Pharma DP for the preparation of due diligence.
  • Represent the External Manufacturing Team in transversal project / improvement programs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of significant operation management experience in a GMP environment (DP manufacturing).
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Project Management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of DP manufacturing in all forms and Finished Goods Packaging.
  • Experience in External Manufacturing functions combined with knowledge in patches, injectables, or medical devices manufacturing as an asset.
  • Fluency in French and English (written & spoken) and availability to travel outside Belgium several times per year.
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams, influence others, hold teams accountable, and are results-oriented, able to manage complex projects from development through commercialization to attain results.
  • Ability to manage external business partners and relationships to influence partners to deliver results that UCB needs.
