Workshop Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client's workshop in the Lambeth area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians and administration staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and prioritize the work of technicians and administration staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure their needs are met and they are kept informed of progress.
  • Manage the workflow of heavy vehicles through the workshop to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure high standards are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong managerial skills with the ability to control a workshop of technicians efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on the tools at times, but with a focus on workshop management.
  • Quality control experience is a plus, but not necessary.
