**Job Title:** Assistant Production Manager
**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join our team at Mansell Recruitment Group. As an Assistant Production Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the production process to ensure efficiency and quality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Plan and Coordinate Production Schedules:** Develop and implement production schedules to meet business objectives.
- **Supervise the Production Process:** Oversee the production process to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- **Manage Resources for Production:** Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support production activities.
- **Optimize Production Procedures:** Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and implement process improvements.
- **Generate Performance Reports:** Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to management.
- **Ensure Equipment Safety:** Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- **Coordinate with Internal Departments:** Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless production operations.
- **Lead a Team of 8 Staff:** Supervise and mentor a team of production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
**Requirements:**
- **Previous Experience in Production:** A minimum of 2 years' experience in a production role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- **Ability to Work Under Pressure:** Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- **Excellent Communication Skills:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with production staff, management, and other stakeholders.
- **Results-Oriented Mindset:** A results-driven approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and meeting business objectives.
- **Proficient IT Skills:** Proficient in the use of production management software and other IT systems.
**Working Hours and Benefits:**
- **Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm:** Standard working hours, with regular breaks and a 1-hour lunch break.
- **28 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays:** A generous holiday entitlement, including bank holidays.
- **Salary up to £32,000 with Monthly Bonus:** A competitive salary, with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus based on performance.
