About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Head of Student Support. As a key member of our pastoral care team, you will play a vital role in fostering a caring and supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral support to students, addressing their welfare and well-being needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible education.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • GCSE including English and Maths at Grade C/5 or above.
  • Experience of working with young people in an education setting.
  • Experience of providing pastoral support within an education setting.
  • The ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
  • The ability to speak in front of large groups of students and small groups of staff.
