Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction for significant projects or oversee several smaller initiatives.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to Project Engineers.
- Oversee the planning of engineering activities, manage internal processes, and develop engineering management strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure solutions align with their requirements and relay these expectations to internal teams.
- Organize and conduct engineering design review meetings, working with internal departments (such as airworthiness and safety) to guarantee project delivery timelines are achieved.
- Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities.
- Implement all phases of the system lifecycle, including requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification in accordance with company processes and client specifications.

- Manage engineering modifications to maintain system integrity throughout the lifecycle, ensuring traceability of all critical design choices.

- Provide assistance and expertise across all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering leadership and program management teams to ensure adequate project resources and identify potential capability gaps.

Essential Skills:
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.

- Self-driven and proactive, utilizing both personal technical expertise and collaborative efforts to resolve challenges.

- Familiarity with engineering lifecycle processes and design evaluations.
- Proficient in technical documentation and report writing.
- Comfortable presenting technical information at various organizational levels.
- Previous experience in indirect or direct management roles is advantageous.
- Experience in engineering sign-off for documentation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background in project management and schedule development is beneficial.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity, with a preference for backgrounds in aerospace and/or defense sectors.
