About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Physics Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Dover. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and educate students in one of the most fascinating subjects within the sciences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  2. Classroom Environment: Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their potential.
  3. Assessment and Progress: Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students.
  4. Student Support: Support students in their academic journey, helping them to prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure the best learning outcomes.
  6. Departmental Involvement: Participate in department meetings, extra-curricular activities, and school events.
Essential Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Subject Knowledge: A degree in Physics or a related field.
  3. Curriculum Expertise: Strong knowledge of the KS3, KS4, and KS5 Physics curriculum.
  4. Communication and Organisation: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  5. Passion for Teaching: A passion for teaching and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  6. DBS Check: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
  1. Teaching Experience: Experience teaching Physics at both GCSE and A-Level.
  2. Professional Development: A commitment to continued professional development.
