Are you a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a Night Shift Fitter to join our team at First Bus, where you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and make a meaningful impact in our community.

About the Role

  • Perform vehicle fault diagnostics, servicing, and repairs, including MOT preps in accordance with First Bus Standard Engineering Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all HS&E legislation and Group Policies.
  • Maintain and develop technical skills as required.
  • Work will cover all depots within the east, with a shift pattern of 5 days on, 2 days off, and some overtime expected.

We'll provide you with the necessary PPE to do your job successfully.

Hourly Rate

  • £19.31 per hour (overtime paid at time and a half).

Working Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday, 22:00 - 06:00.

About You

  • Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification?
  • Are you flexible with your working hours?
  • Do you have an aptitude to develop others within the Engineering Team?
  • Is a PCV licence desirable or are you willing to obtain one?
  • Do you have experience working with coaches (advantageous but not necessary)?
