Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with production leadership, craft leaders, and other essential stakeholders to outline and propel various game features, ensuring they align with the studio's overarching objectives.
- Schedule Management: Develop and oversee timelines for multiple features, working alongside craft and production leads to ascertain necessary resources, timelines, and maintaining comprehensive roadmaps while considering interdependencies across teams.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure timely delivery of features that meet high standards of quality and enjoyment, aligning with the studio's strategic goals.
- Executive Communication: Provide high-level updates to the production team, feature owners, stakeholders, and external partners, sharing insights on feature progress, risks, opportunities, and the overall vision.
- Review Cycle Management: Direct and manage thorough review processes for each milestone and deliverable, pinpointing areas for enhancement and risks, while driving solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Gameplay Experience Enhancement: Foster collaboration with design, insight, and product teams to define and refine outstanding gameplay experiences, leveraging player feedback, market trends, and data-driven insights.
- Team Development: Mentor and support production team members, encouraging growth, innovation, and enhancements in processes and best practices.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Take on senior responsibilities in unassigned tasks related to feature delivery, ensuring comprehensive coverage of critical duties and demonstrating proactive problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in game production, with a minimum of 3 years in a production role.
- Proven track record of shipping multiple games through complete development cycles.
- Expertise in production tools, agile methodologies, project management software, and standard game development practices.
- Experience with large-scale projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a history of effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including C-level executives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify and address complex challenges, proposing and implementing solutions with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams, managing multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
- A commitment to user-centered design and quality assurance, with a keen understanding of player needs and expectations.
- Adaptability to evolving requirements and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
