About the Role

The Commercial Assistant Temp - People and Engagement is accountable for providing support to the Supply Chain Client Communications and Engagement Team. The role is responsible for ensuring that those responsible for processes and governance are clear on their responsibilities, that appropriate improvement actions are being taken (where required), and that the governance model stays aligned as a whole and meets business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management Support: Provide support to the Client Team Senior Commercial Manager for day-to-day administration and project management of the People Strategy work streams (40%).
  • Commercial Operations Support: Provide support to the Client Team Commercial Manager for day-to-day administration and project management of the Supplier Relationship Management Plan (40%).
  • Business Administration: Administration of client team business as usual activities, including but not limited to preparation of meeting packs, tracking and close out of actions (20%).
  • Document Management: Documents maintained, stored and updated in line with HPC Management System timescales and expectations.
  • Project Coordination: Project management of workstream deliverables.
  • Communication: Preparation and distribution of internal and external documents and newsletters.
  • Reporting: Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager (Client).
  • Location: The role is hybrid located at our office with expectations of 40% in-person attendance. Travel may be required to other offices as required.
Requirements
  • Project Management Skills: Relevant Project Management skills and experience, with recognised Project Management qualification desirable (APM, Prince 2).
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Strong Microsoft office and presentation skills.
  • Governance Management: Managing Governance (writing documentation, reviewing documentation, ensuring alignment of documentation), preferably within a business environment.
  • Action Tracking: Action tracking and monitoring - particularly where action owners are those in senior roles.
  • Problem Solving: Structured and diligent approach to reviewing work and identifying issues.
  • Nuclear Industry Knowledge: Basic familiarity with the nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy is desirable.
  • Contract Knowledge: Basic understanding of NEC & FIDIC forms of contract is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work with subject matter experts to take complex information and effectively distil this into key requirements for implementation.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to engage with individuals at all levels - including holding senior members of staff to account for actions.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent communication skills.
  • Initiative: Problem solver who can understand wider strategic context and is prepared to take ownership and work with minimal supervision to deliver requirements which meet these aims.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrates and ability to learn, apply, and improve work initiatives to create performance improvements.
