About the Role

We are seeking a talented Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Burges Salmon. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a vital role in advising clients on complex legal matters and high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and advising on commercial contracts, including distribution and agency agreements, and franchise arrangements
  • Negotiating commercial contracts to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients
  • Providing regulatory advice on consumer contracts and other commercial matters
  • Supporting broader transactions, such as hive-downs, to ensure seamless execution

We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver practical advice and possess extensive expertise in advising clients in the private sector, with some public sector work also undertaken.

Requirements
  • Relevant experience working on non-contentious commercial contracts
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn, with experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
