We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a focus on managing financial aspects related to Mechanical & Electrical engineering, while delivering exceptional commercial services within Facilities Management. This role involves supporting senior members of the commercial team, overseeing supply chain management, and optimizing project expenditures without compromising on quality. The ideal candidate will also have the potential to lead and inspire a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Governance: Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
  • Cost Management: Accurately measure and assess work, engaging in collaborative value engineering initiatives.
  • Estimating: Analyze technical drawings, prepare detailed bills of quantities, and evaluate tender submissions.
  • Planning: Strategically review and organize activities to align with project goals.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Utilize the company's Evolution MX System for project tracking and management.
  • Prepare and negotiate claims, gather cost and value data, and demonstrate expertise in NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities, compile cost reconciliation reports, and identify potential savings.

PROCUREMENT

  • Gather and document procurement needs, ensuring understanding of necessary procedures.

COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Engage in customer and stakeholder relations, review contractual agreements, and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Measure work progress, negotiate agreements with subcontractors, and maintain a Personal Development Plan.

DEVELOPMENT, RECRUITMENT, AND RETENTION

  • Contribute to the professional growth of team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential qualifications include a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience. Desirable attributes encompass strong communication skills, effective teamwork, industry insight, and prior experience in commercial roles.
