Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the primary curriculum through intervention lessons for KS3/4 students, addressing learning gaps while fostering confidence and self-esteem.
  • Teaching a variety of subjects, including mathematics and English.
  • Overseeing student behavior throughout the school day and facilitating their learning and engagement in class.
  • Promoting the development of social skills and catering to individual student needs.
  • Engaging in team meetings and training sessions as an integral team member.
  • Maintaining accurate progress records.
  • Adhering to safeguarding regulations.

Qualifications Required:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Experience with KS1 and KS2 SEMH, with the capability to work with KS3 and KS4 year groups.
  • This position is not suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs).
  • Primary teachers transitioning from mainstream education must provide clear examples from their professional or personal experiences that demonstrate their interest in this type of environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential.
