Michael Page (UK) is proud to partner with a highly successful UK-based manufacturer seeking a Head of Procurement to join their Goole site.
Job DescriptionThe Head of Procurement will report directly to the Site Director and be responsible for all raw material spend and contract negotiations across key categories.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute procurement strategies for materials and services, optimising expenditure, and standardising processes across UK plants.
- Create innovative procurement tools, such as e-sourcing platforms, to enhance the procurement process and streamline sourcing activities.
- Negotiate long-term contracts and manage executions of Frame Agreements to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply.
- Coordinate and support the buying team to run tenders and negotiations on key categories to deliver optimum value.
- Extensive experience in a procurement or purchasing/supply chain role.
- A solution-orientated mindset with a high sense of quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop supplier relationships and manage single source supply chain.
- £75-90k plus wider benefits package.
- Flexible hybrid working (travel to other UK sites as required).
- Opportunity for progression into a group level role.
