Children's Social Worker

Our social workers play a vital role in supporting children and young people with disabilities, working closely with families to ensure they receive the best possible care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with children and young people with disabilities, listening to their needs and concerns, and developing plans to support their well-being and achievement.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people with disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and develop plans to address the needs of children and young people with disabilities, working within a multi-agency network to ensure effective support and outcomes.
- Provide information, advice, and support to children, young people, and their families, enabling them to make informed decisions about their care and support.
- Work within the Public Law Outline and Care Proceedings, ensuring the safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people.
- Qualified social worker with relevant registration to practice and a good understanding of asset-based approaches to social work.
- Experience of court work, with the ability to assess capacity and authorise deprivation of liberty.
- Specialist knowledge of services for children and young people with disabilities, including legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, young people, and families, and to advocate for innovation and positive change.
