Job Summary

Community First is seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of its youth services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the suite of services, including Young Carers, employability work, and mental health programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy for operational growth and development across youth services
  • Oversee operations, planning, and budget management
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborate with the Community First Leadership team to contribute to the charity's strategic development and objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders to secure funding and resources

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in managing high-quality youth support services
  • Proven track record of successfully motivating and supervising staff and volunteers
  • Experience in fundraising, service development, and delivery, budget management, and report writing
  • Ability to relate to and inspire young people, staff, partners, and funders

Working Arrangements

The role will require some evening, weekend, and school/college holiday working. Community First follows Safer Recruitment policies, and the role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, background checks, and mandatory training requirements.
