We are seeking a skilled Estimator to become a vital member of our Building Solutions Team.
Location: Flexible working options available, with necessary travel to the office and project sites.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you will collaborate with the Building Solutions Team to assist in the estimation of both single and two-stage bids for our diverse clientele.
Your daily tasks will encompass:
- Focusing on the pricing and securing new tenders as well as existing framework opportunities. You will manage all aspects of bid pricing, from cost modeling and margin assessment to the completion of pricing documents and client presentations.
- Engaging with the broader team to gather operational requirements, temporary works, social value, and environmental considerations to ensure comprehensive submissions.
- Supporting the creation of tender documents, participating in pre-tender and post-tender interviews, and providing necessary data as requested.
- Acquiring suitable market quotations to substantiate bid submissions through effective utilization of the Kier Supply Chain.
- Demonstrating the ability to provide precise cost estimates based on fundamental principles.
Qualifications:
This Estimator role is ideal for candidates who possess:
- Experience in bidding for local authorities and capital works clients.
- Experience working on bids valued between £2,500,000 and £10,000,000+, across various sectors.
- Familiarity with working under frameworks and understanding the different requirements associated with them.
